Dear Buyer

Welcome to 5 Lancaster Street.  This charming home is located in downtown Cohoes and within walking distance to the revitalized Remsen Street, home to restaurants and shopping.  Parking is available on the street and in a public lot just steps from the house, and a bus stop is close by.

My mother was very proud to own this home, which she purchased later in her career as a teacher.  She lived here for 15 years and took great care of the house, which is reflected in all of the recent upgrades.  Within the last five years, she replaced the kitchen cabinets and countertop, shower, electrical panel, water heater, and a number of other things.

A nice feature of this home is the open area outside the upstairs bedroom.  My mother used it for her treadmill and other exercise equipment, but this area could also be used as an office or a fun entertainment area for children.

One of the greatest things about this house is the backyard.  My mother loved gardening in her backyard and I have many fond memories of planting flowers with her in the springtime.  When the hot days of summer arrived, we would spend time on the back deck enjoying how lush and green the backyard is.  What a peaceful and enjoyable backyard!

My mother took a lot of pleasure in hosting family, friends, and neighbors for meals and other gatherings, but most of all, she enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren in this home.  Because of all these memories, it is bittersweet for our family to part with this house, but we are hopeful that it will find a new owner who values it just as much as my mother did.  My sincere wish is that you enjoy the house as much as we did and create some of your own great memories.

All the best,
Judah Eisenhandler
